Our Projects
REBUILDING OUR COMMUNITY,
ONE BLOCK AT A TIME
UJAMAA is proud to have successfully completed a number of cultural projects for the city of Chicago. Museums, libraries, and cultural centers are important to the fabric of society. As such, we are proud to provide the foundation for many existing educational, government, and healthcare structures across our nation’s Midwest and Southeast.
Commercial construction is about building both structures and brands. At UJAMAA, we understand the wide range of challenges from a big box store like Walmart, to leading supermarkets including Jewel or Aldi, to established retail stores like Walgreens or Starbucks. We’ve also completed projects around sports and entertainment, like stadiums, performing arts centers, and more.
Working on projects of this size requires an understanding of their identity and needs along with an ability to respond quickly and adhere to a tight schedule. At UJAMAA, we provide attention to detail to ensure the project is completed smoothly and to the precise specs set by designers and architects. In this way, we are able to closely match the intended vision for the project.
Whether they be mutli-family complexes or high-rise buildings, residential projects are distinctive projects that require a unique skill set. UJAMAA’s experience in this market ranges from extensive renovations to new construction with assisted living and skilled care facilities. We have completed projects that span the spectrum of design requirements and goals, each time maximizing factors like efficiency and total project costs.
In addition to our commercial projects, our team has also completed a number of industrial projects across the Midwest and South East. Industrial projects come with unique requirements and challenges, often on tight deadlines. They require specialized knowledge and technical ability. Nonetheless, we have developed a reputation for quality, safe industrial construction for clients in every major market.
