COMED REHABILITATION PROGRAM
Ujamaa Construction (“UJAMAA”) was selected by ComEd to execute rehabilitation work on several of its properties. This work ranged from re-grading existing ComEd access roadways to interior work at their 63rd Street power station. This suite of projects also included security upgrades to 4 of their Chicago facilities.
Working under high power electrical lines and in an industrial environment, safety is the main priority. UJAMAA started these project by drafting a project specific safety plan and executing it during the project. Lunchbox safety meetings and weekly check-in led to a successful project with no safety incidents.
